The New iPad (iPad 3) was recently launched and immediately it was compared to the iPad 2. There are definitely new features to the new iPad . First and foremost is, it comes with the high resolution Retina display, 2048-by-1536-pixel resolution at 264 pixels per inch (ppi). This is due to its A5X chip (with quad core graphics). This resolution is 4 times better compared to iPad 2 which is 1024-by-768-pixel resolution at 132 pixels per inch (ppi). You will definitely appreciate this feature when viewing an enlargement of a part of the subject on display.
Another notable addition of the new iPad is its back iSight 5-megapixel camera with autofocus; tap to focus; face detection still images and capable of recording full high definition video in 1080p. This is a very big improvement from the iPad 2 which can only record high definition video in 720p.
For people on the go, practically anywhere in the tech world, a version with 4G LTE wireless connectivity is available. Apple has realized that 4G connectivity is fast taking over from 3G.
Apple has added the Dictation feature for people who are not very accustomed or slow in typing or writing an email, a text or search the web.
