We first saw the Samsung Galaxy Beam during the 2012 Mobile World Congress back in February. Just in case you have not heard anything about it yet, it is packed with 4.0 inches display with 480 x 800 resolution, a 5 megapixel rear camera and 1.3 megapixel for the front-facing one, 8 GB internal storage and 768 MB or RAM. It is powered by a dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 and running Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. The most interesting about this phone is its projector feature. You can share your pictures or videos up to 50 feet away from the device.
Samsung was suppose to release the Samsung Galaxy Beam three weeks ago but for some reason, UK retailers only started selling it today. If preorders of this device cost a hefty £454.80, it is now available for only £384.99 via Expansys. You can also get it for free on a contract through Carphone Warehouse for at least plan £31.
This smartphone/projector hybrid is currently available only for UK and Singapore market. US might be getting this as well soon through AT&T according to the FCC leak.
