HTC have already explained in their blog why they dropped the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for the HTC Desire HD. We know that many users were frustrated about the decision. If you feel that you cannot live without ICS running on your device, do not forget that there is a custom ROM available still if you just do not mind the risk of flashing its official ROM.
HTC Rezound users, in the other hand, might be rejoicing anytime soon. HTC previously reported that some of their devices such as the HTC EVO 3D, HTC Desire S as well as the HTC Rezound should be getting the update in June or July. If this is true, today will be the due date for the company to roll the new software out. According to AndroidGuys who obtained the screenshot:
No other details have been uncovered about the update, so at this point it's really just a waiting game.
The leaked screenshot shows that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich software will have 292 MB of file size. Make sure that you back up your phone data just in case something goes wrong while updating your phone. As always, do not forget to leave us a comment once you have that installed into your phone.
