Restoring from iTunes the other way to get the data transferred from an older iPhone.
- Download and install the iTunes on your computer
- On the Set Up iPhone screen on your iPhone, choose Restore from iTunes Backup
- Tap on Next on the top right hand corner
- Connect the data or USB cable to your iPhone and computer
- Start the iTunes program on your computer
- On the message that says "This computer has previously been synced with an iPhone", choose "Restore from backup of:"
- Click on the dropdown box
- Choose the backup you want to restore
- Click on Continue
Your iPhone 5 will start transferring the required data and should just take a few minutes depending on the size of the data.
