If you want to change the PIN of your Samsung Galaxy S3, you will first have to enable the use of the PIN. Once the PIN is enabled, please follow the steps below.
- Go to Apps
- Go to Settings
- Select Security
- Select Set Up SIM Card Lock
- Select Change SIM PIN
- Type in the current PIN then tap OK. If you haven't used or changed your SIM PIN previously, please contact your service provider to know the default PIN of your SIM card.
- Type in the new PIN then tap OK.
- Type in the new PIN again to confirm then tap OK.
Note: If you enter an incorrect PIN 3 times consecutively, your SIM card will be blocked and will ask for PUK which can normally be obtain from the original SIM card packaging or by calling your service provider. If you enter an incorrect PUK for more than 10 times consecutively, the SIM card will be burnt and become unusable. If that happens, you will need to get a new SIM card for your Samsung Galaxy S3.
