Important:
It is necessary to have an email account with an email provider, and have all the settings for
that account, including email address, password and, in some cases, mail server details.
Not all Exchange Accounts are compatible with the iPhone 4, please consult your Email
Provider / IT Department for further information.

Please Note: Emails will only work after the Internet has been setup and is working on the
device.

Manual Settings

1. Press Home
2. Tap Settings
3. Tap Mail, Contacts & Calendar
4. Tap Add Account
5. Select the Email Account Type (For Most ISP Email Accounts, Select Other)
4 of 176. Enter the Name to Appear On Outgoing Emails In the Name Field
7. Enter Your Email Address In the Address Field. This Will Auto Populate the Description
Field.
8. Enter Your Email Account Password in the Password Field
9. The iPhone will Attempt to Auto Detect the Incoming Mail Server Address and the User
Name for the Email Account. (If Successful, Skip to Step 13)
10. Select the Email Protocol Type by Selecting Either the IMAP or POP Protocol Button;
For Most ISP Mail Accounts, Select POP.
11. Under the Incoming Mail Server Heading, Enter the Incoming Mail Server Address in
the Host Name Field.
12. Enter the email account user name in the user name field.
13. Scroll Down, Under the Outgoing Mail Server Heading, Enter network provider's outgoing mail server in
the Host Name Field.
14. Leave the User Name and Password Fields Blank.
15. Click On the Save Button in the Top Right Corner.

Fetch Email

1. Select Settings
2. Select Email, Contacts, Calendars
3. Select Fetch New Data
4. Switch Push to ON or OFF
