Always remember that e-mails will only work after the internet has been setup and is working on the device.

1. Tap Applications
2. Tap Email
3. Enter Email Address and Password
4. Tap Manual Setup
5. Select the type of account: (device will proceed to  Incoming Server Settings after
selection)
    POP3
      IMAP
      Exchange Account
   
6. Tap either  POP3 or  IMAPServer (provided by your  ISP) and enter server address
provided to you (if required)
7. Tap Port and Ensure:
    110 for POP3
      143 for IMAP
8. Tap Security Type and select from dropdown menu:
    None
      SSL
      SSL (accept all certificates)
      TLS
      TLS (accept all certificates)

9. Tap Delete Email from Server and select from dropdown menu:
    Never
      When I Delete from Inbox
   
10. Tap Next (device will check incoming server settings and proceed to Outgoing Server
Settings)
11. Tap SMTP Server and enter mail.optusnet.com.au
12. Tap Port and enter 25
13. Tap Security Type and select None from the dropdown menu
14. Ensure Require Sign-in is Unticked
15. Tap Next (device will check outgoing server settings)
16. Tap Email Checking Frequency and select desired time interval email is to be checked
from dropdown list
17. Ensure Notify Me When Email Arrives is Ticked
18. Tap Next
19. Enter Name of the Email Account
20. Enter the Name that you want to be displayed in the emails
21. Tap Done (device will automatically go to inbox and check emails)
