The Official Samsung Galaxy S III

After a lot of rumors and speculations, Samsung has finally unveiled their new Galaxy during the Samsung Galaxy S III 2012 Unpacked event yesterday. Most of what we expected are right on the spot and there are some great and cool new features that we never thought about.

Lets talk about the processor first as this is the part of the phone that intrigues me most. Samsung has already showed the Galaxy S III running Exynos 4212 Quad with the clock speed of 1.4GHz during the event while the LTE version is still coming soon. Base on the rumors that came out before the official announcement, it will run a quad-core processor whcih is true but some tech savvy guys said that it should also be available in dual-core just like the HTC One X and AT&T HTC One X. Why? It is because the 4G LTE connectivity doesn't work well yet with quad-core processor so it should be built together with a dual-core  processor. But there is nothing really have to worry about if you will only get a dual-core version because they shouldn't be that far from each other when it comes to performance.
If you are not a fan of large phones, this new Galaxy is not good for you cause this got a 4.8 inches screen which is a bit smaller than the Galaxy Note but larger than its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S II. It  is a bit disappointing cause they suppose to innovate with the display but gone back to the older technology by only using Super AMOLED display while the Galaxy S II already got Super AMOLED Plus. And just like other smartphone other in the market today, it still got 1GB of RAM and with three different storage sizes which are 16, 32 and 64GB.

The Samsung Galaxy S III also comes with the great new feature like the Smart Stay which maintains a bright display until you stop looking on the phone, Direct Call which let you call a person just by putting your phone to your ear, Smart Alert that let you know that you missed a call or message by vibrating, Social Tag that let you know your friends' SNS status through their photos, S Voice that do whatever you ask to on on the phone just like Siri on the iPhone 4S, S Beam that allows you to transfer files just by placing two phones back-to-back, AllShare Cast that let you share your screen onto a big display, Buddy Photo Share which let you share photos instantly to friends that were tagged, AllShare Play lets you share and access a files and documents even if you are away.
