To setup the SMS on your Samsung Galaxy S3, please follow the steps below.

  1. Tap on the Apps from the home screen
  2. Tap on Messaging
  3. Tap on Menu
  4. Tap on Settings
  5. Put a tick on the box for Delivery Reports if you want to receive a notification if the message has been sent or not otherwise remove the tick from it 
  6. Tap on Message Center and type in the message center of your service provider. Contact your carrier if you are not sure with it
  7. Press on the Home button then try sending SMS.
