To be able to for you to use the Google services on your Samsung Galaxy S III such as Gmail, Google Play, Picasa and the others, you have to activate your Google account with your phone. Before doing this make sure that your phone is connected to internet either through mobile data or WiFi network.
- From the home screen, tap on Apps.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap on Account and Sync.
- Tap on Add Account.
- Tap on Google.
- Tap on Existing if you have an existing Gmail email address or New if you don't have one yet.
- Tap on Email then type in your Gmail address then Password for your Gmail password.
- Tap on Sign in to proceed.
- Your phone has the feature to back up your apps, settings (such as bookmarks and Wi-Fi password) and others. Put a tick on the box that says "Keep this phone backed up with my Google account" the tap on Next.
- Press on the Home button to go back to the home screen.
If your there is no WiFi network available, you can setup the internet on your phone by following the steps below.
- Go to Apps
- Tap on Settings
- Tap on More Settings
- Tap on Mobile Networks
- Tap on Access Point Names
- Tap on Menu then New APN and key in the details below. You can get this from your service provider.

After putting all the details, make sure you save it before going back to the main screen.
