Here are the simple instructions on how to turn your SIM card PIN code request on or off for added security to your phone. Your Samsung Galaxy A5 will prompt you to enter your PIN code every time you switch your mobile phone on.
1. Make a downward sliding motion with your finger from the top of your Galaxy A5’s screen.
2. Select the “Settings” icon.
3. Select the option “Lock screen and security”.
4. Select the “Other security settings” option.
5. Select the option “Set up SIM card lock”.
6. Press the little indicator next to the option "Lock SIM card" to switch the functionality on or off.
7. Type your PIN code in and select “OK”. The default PIN code for most SIM cards is 0000.
8. Click the Home key button on your Samsung Galaxy A5 to return to your home screen.
