General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is the technical term for mobile data or internet on mobile devices. It is a standard for wireless communications and suited for sending and receiving e-mail and web browsing on the go.
Most network providers can send your handset settings, commonly known as Over-The-Air-Provisioning (OTAP), for internet or WAP connection directly to your phone via Short Message Service (SMS). If you already received that configuration settings, open that message, save it and activate if it asked. But in some cases that network providers doesn't support your phone for OTAP you will have to configure it manually. And to do it you will need to know your network generic settings (contact your network provider for specific settings).
1. GPRS APN
2. Username
3. Password
4. Other Settings (ex. DNS address) but this is optional
