To use Google services such as Gmail, Google Play, Picasa etc on your Samsung Galaxy S4, you will need to setup or activate your Google account on it first. To do that.
1. Press on Menu then go to Settings.
2. Tap on Accounts.
3. Tap on Add Account
4. Select Google
5. Select Existing
6. Type in your Google username
7. Tap on Password then type in your Google password.
8. Tap on Done then OK
9. Follow the on screen instruction and select the setting you prefer
