Adding a phone lock code to your Samsung Galaxy A5 will ensure that the contents of your phone remain secure. Once the feature is activated you should be prompted to enter the code every time the phone is unlocked, powered on or recovering from sleep mode.
How To Turn On
1. Make a downward sliding motion with your finger from the top of your Galaxy A5’s screen.
2. Select the “Settings” icon.
3. Select the option “Lock screen and security”.
4. Select the option “Fingerprints”.
5. Enter your desired phone lock code and follow the on-screen instructions detailing how to create an added phone lock code.
6. Follow the suggested on-screen steps to create the phone lock code with the use of your fingerprint.
7. Press the little toggle indicator next to the required setting.
8. Select “DONE” once you have made your desired choices.
How To Turn Off
1. Select “Screen lock type” and input the phone lock code you currently use.

3. Click the Home key button on your Samsung Galaxy A5 to return to your home screen.
